LT4 hot cam kit

does anyone know if the LT-4 cam will fit in my 91' Z28 L98, with stock heads, and motor without any other modifications? In other words, can I take the old cam out, put the new one it, put 1.6 rockers, and take it down the tracK? Or do I need to have my valves machined to take the extra lift? Does anyone know what the maximum lift is for the cast iron L98 heads? This information is really important to know...and i guess I've over looked it in my cam shopping....Any adivice is helpfull..thank u.

You'll need new springs and screw in studs.Just to be safe I would check the piston to valve clearance.Better safe than sorry.

I've done it on my 89IROC L98! I did what sprayd91z28 suggested and got the new springs with the lt4 kit and had my heads cut for screw in studs, also had the heads milled .0010" for a little better seal and a boost in compression, not much, just a little!

Been in the car about a year now and she has over 182,000 miles on her! Have stock computer, hedman headers, no cat, K&N's, ported intake and heads with flowmaster muff, street strip 700r4, stock rear with 2.77 gears ran one run last month and hit 13.9 in the 1/4mile. Three months before I did the cam and stuff I ran a 14.6.

Hope this helps!
