What is the distance from the TB mounting to the first intake port??
I want to know the distance from where air enters the intake on LT1 and miniram manifolds to cylinder 1 intake port. I have heard that minirams have 1,2 cylinder distribution problems because of the shorter distance and thus smaller radius or turning. Is this true?? Is the distance shorter or the same? If the same length how can it be that the LT1 needs clearance from the serp belt tensioner?

The miniram definitely has less distance from the throttle body to the first intake ports. It has to sit back far enough to clear the water neck. The LT1/4 intake TB mounting surface is practically flush with the front of the block. Sorry, I don't have any exact measurements nor have I seen a miniram in person. I'd like to know which intake has the largest plenum volume. I'm guessing the '92-'93 LT1 intake has the largest volume due to no crossover tube in the top of the intake. I'm also willing to bet the '94-up LT1/4 intake has a larger plenum volume than the miniram. If anyone has any numbers please post them.

How does your car run with the stock prom?? I knew the mini had to be shorter and I am sure there is a reason that GM designed the LT1/4 intakes with the longer distance, but why???
