Anyone port their SR base to Felpro 1206?

I have an extrude honed Accel base and Super ram. I'm thinking of going for maximum porting as well as having my AFR 190 heads ported for maximum flow. Right now my intake ports are Felpro 1204. Has anyone had any experiance welding the Accel base and porting to Felpro 1206?

Wow! That engine looks pissed, what a killer set-up! There must be a mustang or two running around with its tail between its legs on account of that bad boy, huh?

I'm getting ready to have mine done right now. It's going to be installed on my 406 that's running Dart heads with 215cc intake runners. Those heads use the 1206 gasket.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

Mine is getting done to fit my Track 1 heads in the future

there are two ways to do it according to my head porter

1) weld some more material to the base and port to fit the entire port

2) port the base as much as possible without using any welding and then use epoxy in the bottom of the intake port until the intake port on the head will start to meet the bottom of the intake port on the base

i'm probably going to go with the #2 idea.

also, r u sure that the 190s can be ported that big? that is A LOT of material taken off of that intake port
