TB question 58mm BBk
What is the difference between throttle bodies from 84-88 and 89-92. Will a aftermarket one for 84-88 fit one for later (89)?.
I ask this because I can get a deal on a 58 MM BBK , but it is for 84-88.

The difference is in the IAC passage in the plenum, An early model TB (85-88) cannot be used on a late model plenum, because of the lack of IAC passage in the plenum. You could use a late model TB on an earlier model PLenum though.

to use the Tb you would just have to get an earlier plenum with it, but then the plenum would have a cold start passage. But I think that would just be blocked off by your late model runners and would not be a concern.
