Under Drive Pullys

Hey

I have a 1985 IROC Z Camaro and I am thinking of getting some Underdrive pullys. I am wondering what they would do for HP gain and throttle response. I heard that they can be bad because they slow down the water pump, and I dont want to do that. So what kind of a power adder are underdrive pullys, and are they worth it. Thanks

No they're not worth it if you drive your car every day. They look pretty, that's about it. They're fine for strip cars, since they run down the track a few times and then that's is for the week, so they don't have to worry about cooling or charging problems and that extra tenth or two can be a big deal. You seem to be interested in the expensive-yet-ineffective mods. I have a bridge I can sell you. Interested? (Referring to your air-foil post and your SLP runner post).

Of course, I'm just joking around with you, but also trying to get you to spend your money a little wiser at the same time. You seem to be doing that, though, by asking around.
