I Just bought an 87 IROC-Z with a 305 and a 700r-4 and i have some computer problems. I replaced the maf powerburnoff relay but now I get a code 33. should I start by just replaceing my MAF? Also when I try to time it to the stock setting the car runs like crap so i have timie it by ear. The last problem I am having is when I try to do a bakeshow with car shifted in 1st gear it shifts into 2nd?? what gives. My youngeer brother beat me with his bone stock 89 linconl LSC and i just cant live with that!! PLZ HELP !!!

there is a connector above the blower motor that needs to be disconnected be for you time it. also make sure it is at operating temp. before you set timming.

as for the maf check all your wires for proper voltage and ground if every thing checks of than I would guess it is the maf but, you really need a scan tool to verify the readings.

once you get it running better then you should take him. but, I would replace the plugs since a maf problem can cause you to run rich.
