Opinions on cam selection...

'91 L98
Stock bottom end
Stock drivetrain (for now), will be doing a converter later.
LT1 intake manifold conversion
Trick Flow 23* heads (larger springs for up to .540 lift)

I was thinking about the CC306...but that may be a bit too big for what I want. How is this for compromise:

CCA-12-250-3
Specifications:
* Advertised duration: 284 intake/296 exhaust
* Duration at .050 in. cam lift: 240 intake/246 exhaust
* Gross valve lift: .507 in. intake/.510 in. exhaust
* Lobe separation: 110 degrees
I'm thinking that the long duration and 110 deg lobe separation are going to be a problem. Opinions?

Other than that, I'm thinking Hot Cam...although it's a bit smaller at .050....

I wanna run 12's (eventually)...

Well, after reading some and getting some help from CZ28.com, I've decided to go with the XE274... Cheaper than the 306 and a bit smaller.

ANY opinions? What do you guys think my output will be with this setup?

Are emissions an issue for you? Do you have to pass a sniffer test? If you do I believe its pretty hard to get a cam with over 230 dur @ .050 to pass.
