Anyone with SLP runners please read
I was wondering if anyone has siamesed the gaskets for them too. If so, how? I don't want to cause a vacuum leak or anything. Also, did you notice a difference with adding just the runners? Are these runners actually larger than stock, or are they just partially siamesed? Thanks.

OK siamesing the GAsket is a DEFINATE..... Otherwise why would it help...You need to SIAMESE your plenum to match as well...
As far as the overall diameter The SLP runners ARE BIGGER....I cant remember how much out of the box BUT they arte larger...The TPIS book says how much larger.....
ILL GIVE you some free advice on this that may help with the gaskets.....
*** I have to say BEWARE because my runners were modified when I first bought them But the smae principle should apply...
By modified I further siamesed my runners then sent them to EXTRUDE HONE and had them run through twice to open them up.... ..
Anyway I hated trying to open up the stock Gaskets...You dont just have to siamese them you have to open up the hole larger...PITA and **** on SLP for not making correct gaskets.... ANYWAY...My trick is to call TPIS or AS&M and buy the GAskets for the LARGE tube runners.... Mine was a perfect fit and all I had to do is cut the siamesed part away with a pair of scissors and I was good to go.... Versus Hacking them with a grinder which looked bad and took forever....
My warning is Because I had Mine Run twice at extrude hone on top of my siamesing MY Runner DIAMETERS are larger...So on mine the hole was a perfect fit...By LUCK...... On a stock set the Hole in the gasket would be slightly larger than the hole in the runner BUT still should not leak...
BTW the large tube runner gaskets do not have the metal crap in them like stock which makes the stock ones difficult to cut...
