Hey guys, heres the story. My buddys bottom end went out, so while we rebuild it, were gonna add a cam as well. Heres the engine:
-89 L98 350
-Edelbrock 52mm TB
-SLP Siam. runners
-Edelbrock base
-Matched plennum
-24# SVO injectors
-Hooker shorties
-Accell high energy ignition (forget what exactly it is)

Thats all the important stuff. Everything else, like the heads and such, are stock. Bottom end will be rebuilt to stock as well(low funds).

Now, the question is, what is a good cam for this app? The car is, err, WAS (sorry man, I hadta! ) a daily driver, were keeping the stock converter for now, so anything too radical is probably out of the question. The intake flows pretty damn good, so were lookin for a little more on the top side, which shouldnt be a problem with the amount of porting that is/will be done.

A new set of rockers arent out of the question either, as well as stiffer springs which will probably needed.

Ok guys... shoot us any ideas ya have!

This would work well with the stock converter and mods you listed.

 

Yeah, we were thinkin the 2032 would work well cause alot of people seem to run it. Who has it, and how much did you notice?... idle quality, hp gains, hp range, etc...

 

I'd say zz4. Great all around cam. Did I metion I have one for sale. lol
