Opinions? SLP's cold air intake..

Does anyone have either of SLP's cold air intake kits? I am considering the dual..Does anyone know if the dual is going to provide more air than the single? Or is a homemade cold-air system just as effective? (Edit: I am drivin' a 91 L98)

here's the link..

I had a homemade one and then I bought the SLP. I liked the looks of the SLP, plus I got it used.
I've seen some nice homemade cold air unit. Mine was 3" PVC pipe and black rubber sewer bellows from Home Depot. Worked very well and looked good.

Hey Zepher, do you have any before and after dyno charts? Right now my L98 is stock..I plan on getting SLP's CAI and 1 3/4 coated headers w/o AIR...but I'm tryin' to find out if their CAI intake's are going to make substantial power over making one myself..plus they look hella better than the pipes I've been seeing..especially yours.
Can you hear it sucking air?

Well, I haven't taken the car to the dyno yet.
Almost every mod in my sig was put on the car at the same time, so I don't have any way to compare performance.

Car was originally carbed, and I did the TPI swap along with the cam, ignition, headers, exhaust, SLP Dual CAI, 52mm TB, etc....

Car is much faster than it was, and yes, you can hear the sucking of the intake. It's not too loud, the exhaust usually overpowers it.

I picked up 0.15 in the quarter with the single inlet SLP cold air system. I initially verified this with a GTech. I didn't believe it and ran the car down the track before it closed for the winter...and verified the improvement. The only thing I didn't like was having to remove the evap canister...the car reeks of gas sometimes. There's no room to put it where SLP tells you to remount it if you have cruise. I'm going to make a mount for it under the battery.
