Engine shakes

OK, got a vibration at 1000 - 1300, goes away until 2000-2500, causes dash to shake up and down. Does it in neutral, in the driveway, and on the road when moving, so it is not driveline.
Looked at torqu converter, it looks like it is true.
When the engine shakes, it looks like the harmonic dampener is out of round?
The dampener was new with the engine. I have a new fluidamper I am about to try.

Any other suggestions

Cheers

Richard

Use an engine turner to rotate the engine and measure to see if the damper is out-of-round. If it looks good, then proceed...

If the engine shaking can be duplicated with the car out of gear, try unbolting and pushing the torque converter away from the flexplate. Start the engine and go through the rev paces. If the shaking continues, the problem is in the engine. If not, look at the torque converter or pump.

Sometimes a slight imbalance in the TC can be remedied by rotating where it's bolted to the engine by 120 degrees. If the problem is in the transmission, try moving where the TC is bolted to each position.

If it's a very harsh vibration, though, you're probably going to have to pull something out of the car...
