Plugs and wires
Plugs and wires
I have searched the past posts on the subject and would like to
know what the straight poop is.
1) Is there any advantage to "high dollar plug wires" over OEM wires?
2) Is there any advantage to "high dollar spark plugs" over OEM plugs?
I am using Blue Max wires, Delco Platinum plugs and an MSD coil.
Question is, are the wires and plugs really necessary?

The spark plug wires can be a very wise mod. Some are made to withstand huge heat, which would be great for headers. Some wires have very low resistance so they offer a more powerful spark to the plug.
As far as the plugs themselves go...Platinum lasts a long time, but for better conductivity, I like copper core spark plugs. You have to change 'em every 15,000 miles, but for $1.50 a piece, it's not too bad
