IS the plenums the same on the 305 and 350(thirgens and 1987?)
Also anyone have any tricks for polishing plenums

Everything is the same on 305's and 350's with tpi. The plennum, runners, manifold, throttlebody, and everything else is all the same. This is because TPI was made for the 305 and they didnt feel like making seperate injection for the 350 so they just used the same one.

 

Injectors are different.

And I don't buy this 305 crap for the TPIs intended use.
The Corvettes never came with a 305 (TPI).

 

Actually I've read/heard that before too about the TPI being designed for the 305.

 

I have read...and heard...many times. However, no one has ever given a definitive source for this. It has just sort of become an Urban Legend.

I doubt the TPI was designed specifically for the Camaro and Firebird, I would think it was a trickle down effect from the Corvette. I have no definitive evidence on any of this, just my own instinct.

I'll do some research this weekend to see what I can come up with.
