Need some help with hesitation problem

This past weekend I changed the fuel pressure regulator and the spark plugs, right heat range and gapped properly. Anyways, I get the car together and I take it around the block and when I get out of the drive way and start accelerating, there is a major hesistation and the car runs rough. At the stop sign I wait and then I put the pedal to the floor and it felt like it was about to stall out. It hesistated for a second or 2 then took off pretty fast.
Anyone have any insight for me why my car is acting like this?
Its a 85' 305 tpi.
thanks.

Rough running after plug or wire change could be crossed wires. I was surprised at how well it will idle with two wires crossed!

To deal with hesitation, check TPS base voltage (with the IAC pintel fully extended) and set the base value to .65Vdc with the WOT value to over 4.5Vdc.

Also check base timing.
