Has anyone bored their stock throttle body to 52mm? I would like to know how the throttle blade shaft was removed/ reinstalled? It looks straight-forward to enlarge the bores and make new blades.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Dude, unless you have a pretty stout engine, I think your energy will be spent better elsewhere.

I saw a guy on ebay that was selling a 52mm throttle body, but he was also selling the service of boring them out.
I just looked on ebay and couldn't find that guy,but there is another guy doing the same thing.Just do a search on ebay for "52mm throttle body" then go to completed items.

One of the ends, the one I did was the TPS end. You have to grind in the middle and then pull off the end. After you get that off you can slide out the shaft. Just don't screw it up too much. I tried to bore mine out with hones but takes way too long. I just paid a machine shop to do it and they charged me $100 for the bore and it came out really good.

I was curious about the same thing on how to remove the shaft. After you remove it how do you reattach it. Thanks for the info.

i havent done it, but from what ive gathered it isnt worth your time and effort unless your putting out some major horses.

It would not be a very well spent money. The stock TB should be more than sufficient to supply enough air for your engine.
