TPI sensor

i have a 89 iroc and my MAT is not pluged in on the bottom of the plenum i forgot to d it when i put it together can i leave it undone or does it hava to be pluged in? also the car will ot idle after it has warmed up can that be caused by the sensor not being pluged in?

You need to plug that sensor in.

Once in closed loop mode the ECM will throw a code if not and it may go into Limp Home mode.

If you're really crafty you might be able to plug it in with some needle nose pliers...not sure though. When I put everything back together I triple checked all the connections...I was paranoid about having to undo everything again.

I did the same thing when I rebuilt my engine. I got it in but it was a major biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch. You do need it
