406 ???
406 ???
I am starting to think of a new combo, I see alot of you guys are running a 406. What are the advantages of a 406? I have a 386 stroker in another 89 iroc but this motor will be for a different car. Should i go with another 383 or should i go with a 406? Also how do you get a 406? (400 bored?) And does 350 heads bold onto the block with any problems? Thanks guys

There's no replacement for displacement
. That's the biggest advantage of the 406. The long stroke also helps build torque. Advantages over a 383 are aren't huge, but over a 350 substantial. And yes a 406 is a 400 bored .30 over.
