TPI problems???

ok. about 4 days ago. my car would run like crap(it wouldnt go over 2000 rpms. but would still accelarate. and after i would get to a certen speed it would clear up and run sweet on the freeway, but if i slowed down to be at 2000 rpms(i have a TH350) it would run like crap again. and if i start from a stop it would run nice if i only gave it 1/8 trottle. but any more then that it would act like a rev limiter at 1500-2000 rpms, and also it would jump as much as 1000 rpms when it ran like crap) with the cold fuel injector plugged in. it would run nice with it unplugged. but now it runs like crap with it unplugged and plugged in. im thinking that the cold injector is stuck open. any help would be helpful. im thinking of buying a cold injector tomarrow. thanks

anyone. please. this is my daily driver. i need help. its an 88 MAF TPI. and i believe it has aftermarket 24lb main injectors. if thats needed. thanks

If the 9th (or any other) injector is stuck open you would have a long crank on a warm startup.

If it runs like crap with that injector plugged I'd look elsewhere for the problem.

Have you checked the TPS for smooth reading increase as you open the throttle?

How about fuel pressure and ignition? Lay a flex FP gauge under the right wiper blade and monitor FP as you accelerate; FP should never drop below the idle value.
