computer chip question

i wasnt sure wether to post thsi here or in the prom board, but i ahve and 86 TA as most of you prolly know, and my uncle gave me a computer chip for an 84 vette i belive, i was just wondering if this will work in my car?

Why go & put a 84 chip in your car? Computers became a whole lot better with time. Always go with newer electronics & technologies.

Car: 1988 Vette; 1988 IROC Z-28

Engine: 350cid; 305cid

Transmission: 700R/4; 700R/4

Axle/Gears: 2.59; 2.77

An '86 TPI TA uses a MAF intake so just add an AFPR to tune fuel to air flow.

Don't try the '84 Vette chip; in '84 Vettes were TBI 350s! So, if your TA is TBI still don't put in the Vette chip.
