How hot does the plenum and runners get on average??
Just curious as to how hot the plenum and runners get on average. Mainly what I need to know is, do they ever hit or exceed 300 degrees?? I know when I'm done driving my car I can pop the hood immediately and put my hand on the plenum and hold it there for a good 5 seconds before it starts to burn my hand. IMO, I think if it were 300 degrees or more I wouldn't be able to do this. Any thoughts or opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.

I've used high temp glossy black engine paint in the IROC's plenum grooves and it looks good after over 3yrs.
I run a 160 deg stat & fan sw but she got realy hot on one 100deg day last Fall in beautiful NE NJ.
