My brother has to replace the tranny mount for his T5. Its sitting behind a 3.1 in a 92 RS. With the part number acquired from the dealer as 14106633, I get an obscene price as $124... is this right?? Are the mounts that different for a T5 than a 700R4 where the price is under 10 bucks, or the fact that its a V6? This is ridiculous for a mount. Any other way he can get around it? Will an auto mount work?

 

hey get an energy suspension trans mount...universal gm....don't have the pt # but it should be around $25.....if you want you can get them with the motor mounts for like $60....www.summitracing.com.....

 

dude, you have the wrong part number . like fakezcar said, get a ES mount. your friend will never have to change the mount again.

 

I much prefer the Moroso Steel Mounts.
They last forever, nothing moves around and vibration is minimal.
If you use steel, though you have to use it on the motor and trans or the trans case may crack from the stress.
