Drain plug / temp guage sender for tranny
Hello all. I'm going to be putting in an autometer tranny temp guage in my car to keep tabs on her with the converter. My plan was to put the sender in the side of the oil pan, and also have it function as a drain plug.
My dillemma is this. In all the times i dropped my tranny pan, i never took notice of where the VB comes close to the pan, or more appropriately, where the VB isn't close to the pan. I have a spare pan that i was going to send out to get a nung welded in, but i don't want to drop my current pan just to find a spot for it.
Does anybody have a picture of a trans w/ the pan off so i can assess a good spot to put the sender? Or could you take a look and tell me where / how the VB is oriented wrt the pan? It'd be a big help. I know somebody here must have a tranny laying on a bench, pro-built, transfixleo, anybody?
thanks...ed
