Centerforce DF Problems ...

I had a whining coming from my clutch area when at idle that when away when I hit the clutch or put the car in gear. Also felt like the clutch was slipping, or giving when I really went on it. I was told that the whining was the Throw-Out Bearings.

I went and got myself the Centerforce Dual-Friction Clutch, and T/O Bearings to match. Installed them and ran wonderfully.

The box says to wait 450-500 stop and go miles until you start to abuse it. I am right in the middle of those miles, and am starting to experince some problems.

1.) The wining sound is back. Another toasted T/O bearing, or will this one take some time to work itself in?

2.) This one's hard to explain. When I have the car in gear, and release the clutch, there is a pretty loud sound. Sounds like "Wah- ooooooooooooouht". The only way I can think to describe this sound is this. Remember when u were little and u played with those little motors. Sometimes the motor would scream cause it wasnt powerfull enough for what you were asking it to do ......... that's the sound.

What could it be?

That's all for now ....
thank you

no offense, but are you sure you are putting the throw-out bearing into the clutch fork correctly??

this is what happened to me when i let a "professional" shop rebuild my tranny and put in a new clutch

since then, i've had to replace the clutch twice, the first time i didnt cut the flywheel

the second time i bought all new parts and a centerforce DF and havent had any problems

hope this helps
