where ot find decode source for axle stamping
how to find out what 8UZ or 8JZ is on my 82 T/A axle tube ? where ? havign a hell of a time finding out whhat ratio the axle is, i turn wheel one rev and get only 1 and 2/3 or 3/4 turn form driveshaft....

i hope, you sure its in haynes ? wherw at in it ? never seen such thing in them before, i think i picked up one for the 820-92 now that i think aboiut it, cant even remember now, lol

The closest thing I can find is 2JZ listed for 1982. 2JZ is listed as 3.23 posi. 6JZ is listed in 1984 as the same thing.

how did you find the stamping codes to decode like that ?
well the deal is that i know for sure first digit is 8 and third is Z, but middle is either C, O, U, or J i cant tewll which, its too lightly stamped
obviously rear is not original in the car, or it owuld have been 2.73, and its not seeming like it is 2.73 nowadays, so far anyways, maye im just gonna have top pull the damn cover, i gotta know, need ot change fluid anyways
havent noticed a tag on cover and it has iron drums, so,..
iron drums correct on a 82 T/A LG4 THM200C ?
