help with freshly rebuilt trans

Hello,

I had my trans. just rebuilt with corvette servo, transgo shift kit, 2400 rpm Heavy duty stall converter. engine was rebuilt as well.

anhow. two questions.

1: I would like to protect my investment on the trans. with a good trans. cooler... any recommendations? I am on a budget so something decent pricewise.

2. Sometimes when I start in 1st (megashifter) and shift to 2nd it won't shift into 2nd right away... is this normal? other times (most times I should say) when I put it in 2nd it goes RIGHt into second and sometimes chirps!

3. I know, i know... hehe. well when I am in 2nd gear say and I floor it around 4000 rpm or something like that I feel a bit of a power surge.... like the engine picks up a lot more which is strange. This have something to do with torque converter?

Garett

PS: one more.. please! i'm new to this stuff. With a highstall converter 2400rpm would you actually FEEL the power at 2400rpm kicking-in? like a slight difference in power between 22 00rpm and 2 500rpm? would that possibly happen?

I carry the largest Hayden trans cooler (26,000 lbs. GVW rating) model #1405, it sells for $45.00. When you shift into 2nd, is it at a lower rpm than the WOT shift point if left in drive? If you are trying to do that, (shift at a lower shift point than the WOT governor shift point) it will not happen. If you shift the lever, and it shifts right away (1-2), and it is at the same rpm?, then check the fluid level, if it is low, this might account for the inconsistencies.
