i have a 86 z28 with a t-5 five speed and i was wondering if there was a easy fix to my problem. if u slam it into fifth it will go sometimes once its in fifth it stays there like it should but getting to go into fifth is not easy
any suggestions. thanks

 

Sounds like your blocking ring for 5th is shot. Do you have any trouble going into reverse? If you do your whole synchronizer might be shot. If you get into it to take a look i would go ahead and replace all the blocking rings and bearings just to freshen it up.
