what tranny do i have?
call me retarded but what tranny do i have...i have a 1990 iroc z-28.. with 305HO, and is a stock tranny...im all confused...as i am getting a transgo shift kit and a new servo and a shiny new shifter...cuz the shifts i get now lag like hell!!!! any help and suggestions would be appreciated

No such thing as a 305 HO in 90. The HO motor had a carb; the last year they put it in a F car was 86.
You have the low-output version of the TPI motor. 5-speed 305s got the higher-output version of the TPI 305.
Your trans is the 700-R4.

are you serious..not a HO eh??? my vin code is 1G1FP23F1LL******...and its just reg 305 and my tranny is a 700r4...i just did a little vin number research and 700r4's came in all 1990 automatic camaros...thanks for your help!! how much difference does a better servo make...is it really noticable???
