Someone explain this its weird!!!

i was at a stop light and my car was in drive i went to leave and it felt like the car was in neutral i tried O/D and D but notihing i put the car in part and then back in O/d and it works great now.

Can't anyone explain this it must of happened to someone??the car is working perfect now i would really like to know what that was.

O.K. This is only my experience with automatic cars:

When you stopped your car, all the fluid went at front of the pan and the oil pump was without oil. Some seconds after, the fluid went at original level into the pan, and your car had movement.

My recommendation:

1- Fill fluid at FULL mark (no less, no "add").
2- Wait the next days at normal driving.
If nothing happens = your tranny is good.
If the same event repeat 3 or 4 times = (sorry) prepare for overhaul.

Denis has point.

I used to have my trannie drop out of gear in hard turns, and hard braking cause of a low oil levels. It's was how I knew to check the oil level.
