Is this ok on the tranny?
Guys-
I've got a 305cid, 700R4 IROC-Z.
I'm wondering if it's safe for me to drive my IROC around town in [2], instead of D or [D]. I love the way I can stay in the 2300 RPM range @ 30 mph in [2], but I am concerned it might be putting strain on the transmission.
Anyone?

Engine: 350 TBI
Transmission: 5 speed
Unless your revving your engine right to redline, and the transmission is shifting into third by itself (with the shifter still in 2, which it will do as a safety measure to keep you from blowing your engine) then it should be perfectly fine.
