allision 5spd auto

I read some where that you can use the allision 5spd auto behind an internally ballanced bbc. I want to built a 600 horse/ 600 ft/lbs 427 and back it with the allision seeing that it is rated at 600 ft/lbs from the factory. What would be needed to do this swap if resonible?

Wow, you are really getting into uncharted territory! How exactly would you control this electronically controlled tranny? It is also not the smallest or lightest tranny.

I got the idea from petersons 4wheel & offroad (may 2002). I am hoping that some one will have some ideas. even better if anybody had the specs on the allison 1000. yes right no i am dreaming. but anythings possible. i know a guy that builds late model dirt track cars and he has all the stuff to make tube chassis's. even bigger dream twin turbo 427.

even better chevy puts the 8.1l vortec infront of the allison1000. So i could just get the engine and tranny along with the compputer from a junkyard and i'm inthere.
this will be originall.

You would have to get rid of the center console. The Allison is big. We're talking medium duty truck trannies. Third gens sit too low and chances are the tranny oil pan would be very close to the ground.

It would be easier to install a 4L80E.
