Is this a good deal for a rebuilt tranny?

Just got my tranny back today from being rebuilt, and it seems like a great deal to me, but I just want to make sure. First of all, let me say every trans shop i went to wanted around 600 dollars for a stock rebuild, and thats how much it cost last time and that only lasted 20k miles. Heres what the invoice says:

1 Master Rebuilder Kit - $175
1 Superior Performance Shift Kit w/Corvette servo - $100
1 Dacco Torque Converter - $100 (brand new, not reman)
1 Rebuilt pump with 10-vane rotor and hi-perf guide rings and springs - $75

Rebuild labor 1983 TH700R4 - $200

Total - $600

Oh yeah and it comes with a 6-month full warranty and a 1 year limited warranty (labor and converter)

The guy who rebuilt it told me the 10-vane pump rotor is better for more line pressure than the 7-vane mine came with, and since my pump was full of aluminium shavings, it needed a new one anyway. Also, I am not sure what high performance guide rings and springs are, could someone please explain it to me?

You get what you pay for. Don't get suckered in by those $200 tranny rebuild ads you find in the paper. As you can see, that just covers labor. I think you paid an average price for a rebuild that also incuded a warrenty.

$100 for a converter sounds like a stock replacement converter.

My transmission is worth close to $2500 (Canadian) now. The cost of an 8" converter and a transbrake really increased the price. I doubt you could get a reasonable rebuild with more than just new clutches for less than $500 including labor.
