What stall and gears?
What stall and gears?
I have a '92 Z28 that I'm currently building. I have already put Edelbrock heads and headers on and would like to start with the drivetrain. I currently have a B&M shift kit that I'm going to have installed. My questions are should I have him put a higher stall converter in, and if so what stall speed? Also, is there anything else I could have him do to the trans while he has the oil pan off? I would also like to put in new gears, I still plan on doing more work to the engine in time, I figured I would put 3.73 gears in. Any suggestions or coments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

If you put the Edelbrock Performer heads on, then your currentl stall converter shold be fine. If you went with the Performer RPM heads, then you might want to consider a different one. 3.73s will make your car haul! According to what the other guys have told me, they're about as steep as you want to go, especially with the automatic. The only mods I can think of to do while the guy has the tranny pan off is to replace the pan with a finned deep pan that will raise your tranny fluid capacity and help keep the fluid cooler, which is better for your tranny.
