I have just purchased an 89 IROC with a tremec TKO transmission. The car has a PRO 5.0 shifter with an old Hurst straight handle. My problem is that the handle hits the front of the console when in 1st, 3rd, and 5th. I called pro 5.0, and they have never heard of this combo. Does anyone else have this combo? If so what handle are you using? Thanks!

1989 Iroc-406 superram, Trick Flow 23degree heads, SLP exhaust, Tremec TKO, Moser enginering 12 bolt, and lots of bugs to work out!

 

Ermm.. TKO shifter and T5 shifter are the same?? interesting..

If you lived close buy I'd love to put your car on my lift and check out that TKO. I may buy one one day.. I'd even diagnos your shifter problem..
