3-4 upshift @WOT question

hi....i have red that the 3-4 upshift at WOT will not happen. Is this true? if so then why would my car do the 3-4 shift at WOT? as far as i know there has been no mods to the tranny as it shifts as what i would call normal.....easy shifts that is. car is 1987 gta 5.7 7oor4 tranny.

Well, that is true in some cases. I think that from 82-84 there was no 3-4 shift at WOT. I have an 84 and I installed a 85 corvette valve body to get the 3-4 shift. Now there is a valve you can change in your valve body to get that done and less bucks too!
