new master with 4th gen rear end?

i installed a 4th gen rear, adjustable proportioning valve, and new lines. but my brakes still dont work enough in the rear. with the car in drive they barely stop the wheels while its in the air. do i need a new master cylinder or a rebuild kit for the calipers. when i got the rear end it was rusted.

you could try adjusting the adjustable proportioning valve

my real question is if my master cylinder can handle the 4th gen rears. so then it would mean i should open up my calipers and inspect them.
