rear ticking

I put a new rear end in and i hear a ticking noise when i'm driving , my guess might be the brake shoes rubbing against the rotor or maybe something to do with the e-brake mechanism 'cause I cut the cable (i know stop laughing at me ) or maybe the gears? any info on what I should check out would be nice

cheers
