TH400...Aftermarket shifter....reverse switch help...w/in
OK here is what I would like to do but Im not sure how feasible it it...
I have a TH400 with a reverse manual valve body and transbrake....Because of that I dont want to mess with trying to use the stock 4 speed shifter...
Soo I want to a a Cheetah SCS shifter with the button and lockout for the transbrake...ANYWAY what I want to know is...... How do you make the reverse lights and neutral start switch thing work with an aftermarket shifter????? Im sure I could spice wires to allow it to start but Id rather do it the right way if at all possible.... are there any types of conversion boxes out there or anything that would make this easier than what it appears to be???
Any help would be appreciated.

Just a suggestion
Hey.
Find the harness connections for the reverse lights and the neutral switch under the console, and get harness connections that match the chassis side of things. (In a wrecking yard you should be able to find the harness pieces.) Take the best ones you can find from the wrecks and solder/shrink them to the wires from the switches on your new shifter. Then just plug in. Worked for me in the past. hth
Peace,
Ken
