my first ? is that i was going to rebuild my stock rear from my 82 camaro, how much would i posi/ ls unit cost, and where could i get one.
my second? is how strong are early 80s 4 speeds? would they work with a 350-450 hp 350?
and my 3rd ? is how strong a 700 r4s would they hold up to a high hp 350? are the ones from v6s the same as from v8s? thanks

I don't have answers to your first 2 questions, but I might be able to shed light on the 3rd.
As far as I know the 700R4's from the smaller V6 motors (2.8/3.1) have a different bell housing than the V8 ones. I did have some problems getting my 700 right with my engine, admittedly its torquey for a 305 but not near a 350. GM did back the 700s up to 350s both in the Camaro's and the full size trucks, like a Suburban. I think the year to look for is one out of an 88 or 89. Just my opinion.
