Need help with B&M megashifter
For some reason i cant get the shifter cable to adjust into park correctly. I can get the swivel to slide freely in all gears except park, which is about an quater of inch from going in the hole. I found out that it will go in to park like this, but if i bump the shifter down a little bit(towards reverse) it will pop out and start rolling, which really worries me. The only thing that seems to be the problem is that the shifter wont go all the way up to the detent in park. its like a quater inch away, which makes me think that if it would go up more the swivel would slide right in. So does anybody have any suggestions. Could i have a bad shifter. I hope you can get a better idea for the picuture.

Try moving the shifter into all positions with the cable disconnected. If it works well in all positions without the cable then the shifter is fine.
Adjusting that swivel on the end of the cable is finicky. One turn too much and it won't work just right in either first or park(so has been my experience) If the shifter is good check the cable bracket, the trans arm(where the cable goes into)etc.
Also, I've noticed that if you have the screws that hold the gear indicator cable to the shifter body installed WITHOUT the cable bracket actually being there, in other words just the screws, the shifter can/will bind in one or both directions of movement.
