A friend of mine thinks he found a new 700r4 for me, through a friend's friend. So obviously, this sounds like a bad sitcom episode... is there some special marking, like a warranty #, or etc, that woudl tell me if the trans is new, or just rebuilt and painted? My friend said the trans looked brand new... but maybe it's just got a shot of aluminum paint on it.
