TCC & Cruise Control
You may recall my TCC non-lockup woes, finally discovered I wasn't getting power to the tranny for the solenoid. So, spliced in a parallel wire from the brake light switch to the tranny harness, going through the firewall.
This morning, just fiddling with the "multi-function lever" at a stop light, I clicked the cruise switch to "off". A little while later, I noticed that my TCC wasn't locking. "Great", I thought, "I get to chase that again." Not sure why, but I wondered if the cruise had anything to do with it - flipped it back on, and BINGO, TCC locks again!
Now I'm totally wierded out again. Cruise off, no power to TCC solenoid? I never would have guessed that one. Perhaps I spliced into the wrong wire at the BL switch, but the two "out" wires are tied together...

I know the cruise is disengaged when you tap the brake pedal. The TCC power is also supposed to be interupted when you step on the brake.
What surprised me is that turning the cruise off on the turn signal lever took the power away from the TCC. I thought that was ignition switched power.
Maybe I tapped the wrong line for the TCC power. Guess I'll have to see if there is another one there that has power when the ignition is on and cruise is "off".
