Broken tranny mount

When ever I put it down and the car down shifts it goes "ka-kunk" and then "kunk" when it shifts again. 2 of my friends (owning an older formula and a trans am) have both told me it was a tranny mount. The previous owner also said that was probably the problem. How much does one cost and how hard/expensive to install??

I've had that problem many times before. I tried the tranny mounts from Murrays and they didn't last long with my car. I'm using the energy suspension trans mount. It cost around 24 dollars. They aren't hard to install at all. I did mine in about 5-10 mins. Save yourself the trouble and install it yourself. It's really not hard to do. I can tell you how to do it if you want.

I had that same problem and I also put an energy suspension mount on. Easy install and I would recommend it to anyone.

Definitely like the energy suspension tranny mount. Haven't had a single problem since I put it on. Now I can finally run my car every once in awhile and not have to worry about it breaking. Finally able to race a few Mustangs
