T56 question
I have everything I need for the swap, minus a few things. One: my torque arm and crossmember, which are back ordered, and two: The clutch fork.
As far as the clutch fork goes, I thought I read something about a piece that goes along with it. Or does it just connect to the throwout bearing? I have the clutch disk, pressure plate, throwout bearing, flywheel, and hydrolic assembly.
I am pretty unknowledgeable when it comes to trannies, so please for give me. Thank you in advance

please correct me if i'm wrong, but dont T56's have a concentric slave cylinder......................there is no clutch fork......................

If it does, then I guess I'm in luck. What does it look like and how could I tell. I took a look in the 93-up haynes manual, and it showed a clutch fork, but I may have accidentally been looking at the v6 5 speed. Can anyone tell me for sure. Thank you, Roy

Are you talking about an aftermarket T56? If yours isn't aftermarket, you don't need a new torque arm, just a crossmember. All 82-02 camaros use the same size torque arm, so unless you went aftermarket, your old torque arm is fine.
As far as the clutch fork, yes it has one. The slave cylinder pushes against the clutch fork, which is what pulls the throwout bearing.

You can reuse your original driveshaft and torque arm IF the tranny is an OEM t-56 (From a 700R4 or T-5).
The aftermarket t-56 uses different length torque arm and driveshaft.
Afternmarket t-56 uses a conventional clutch while the OEM needs the funky backazzwards setup.
An LS1 OEM t-56 has no clutch fork, an LT1 does.

we dont get many LT1's at our shop
my friend overhauled a LS1 T56 about 3 weeks ago.................
lets put it this way......he was NOT happy with his flat-rate paycheck that week
