important question
if the front seal where the t.c. goes into tranny is bad and the car spits fluid when its running, is it hurting the tranny to run the car in park or nuetral(with very little to no fluid)?
Reason im asking is my front seal went out and we have to pull it to shop to fix it, and if i leave the car running while its being pulled, ill still have power steering and brakes, otherwise i wont, ofcourse the tranny is a good old reliable 700r-4(

) Bad idea operating the engine w/ no trans fluid, either idling stationary or being towed w/ the rear wheels on the ground.
If you just can't get a flatbed rollback truck to tow it, you can remove the driveshaft for wheels-on-ground towing so the trans isn't damaged.
