Can the trans handle MORE power?

Ok, 91 camaro w/ 145k miles on it. Gonna do an engine swap hopefully end of summer. Gonna put in the GM 350 w/ 330hp. I have yet to have any problems w/ the trans. No leaks and still shifts smooth. Should i rebuild the trans when i do the engine? I know that it will be much easier w/ the engine being out...but money is an issue and if i dont have to, i'd rather hold off. So will the extra power put too much strain on the tranny?

Just run untill/if it blows. I would think if u took care of the tranny, changing fluid and filter it should last a bit more, it all depends on how ur going to drive the car with ur new engine.
