she won't downshift
OK guys, I am strongly considering buying an 82 camaro Z 28 with a crossfire 305 and a TH200 tranny. The problem is that the tranny won't downshift when you hit the brakes and stop. If you pull the shifter back to first and then put it back in drive before you take of it will shift up no problem. The guy put in a shift kit, so that could have something to do with it. Any help would be appreciated

SOLUTION to your PROBLEM WITH DOWNSHIFT
remove the shift kit and you are home free i had the same problem with my 88 trans am it is a pain in the *** remove it and have a new one installed sometimes it just pays 2 get new ones trust me on this one

Yea it sounds like somthing is screwy in the VB. I'd remove the shift kit, probably let a transmission shop look at it first and see what they think.
