just finished the t56 swap.
just finished the t56 swap.
i just finished putting in my 93 t56, i went the expensive route, and bought the centerforce flywheel and dual friction clutch. i didnt really have any problems with it except for the slave cylinder broke (fixed it) and the bolts in my frame rail came un-welded. but other than that, it was very straight foward. especially with the amount of knowledge on this board. i do have one question for those that might have the same setup as me or have seen somthing similar... my pedal is actually softer than the t5 clutch. is the dual friction supposed to be this way? thanks alot.
well... its not that complicated, you just need 2 people, and a vice... the actual cylinder is held in the tube by a little coil spring that is only 2 coils long, and is a bitch to get to stay... just put it in a vice and be patient. nobody has a dual friction?... comon guys... i just need some ideas, not answers... i just want to know what other people did... mabye a cool picture will get some more replys...

My centerforce was also real soft but it held like a champ.I think that was the only thing that helped the t-5 in there survive.

if you had an aftermarket clutch before th CF then the CF will probably feel lighter but rest assurd that it has centrifugal weights and a metalic lining and it holds like white on rice. also the best engagment and feel of any others i've had
