I for get which tranny I have. 700r4 or something close. It's been rebuilt once and I thought the mechanic put a corvette servo in it. Anyhow

I was on the on ramp and put it to WOT to gain speed, Between shifts not sure if it was 1-2 or 2-3... Put it seemed to switch to neutral . I release the throttle quickly and then tranny shifted and made a POP sound and kicked into gear and jerked the car forward. Not sure what just happen I drove home normally because the car didn't seem to be broken. The next morning I played with it to see if it would do it again. Nope... Then it happened again today. Any ideas of what the heck is going on?

Broken tranny mount? Did it sound like it hit the floor?

Climb under with a prybar and see if you can lift the trans off the x-member.... If so, get a Prothane or Energy Suspension mount so you never have to change it again....

 

Nope not the tranny mount.. I'll take a look, But I'm familiar with a broken tranny mount.
