After having a new engine installed in my 82 Z, the tranny does not shift right. It will rev in 1st and then bang second but not shift into 3rd till rpms are way up. Is there a vaccum modulator on these tranny's and if so, maybe the hose is disconnected at tranny? Anyone got a pic of where it is located on tranny? By the way, it drives fine with no slip at all, just shifts way wierd.

 

Your experiancing the same problem 700r4's have, misadjusted TV cable. Follow transfixleo's method for setting the tv cable, it can be found in the tech articals or most posts thats he has visited.
