TH700 swap

My 84 beretta 5.0 has blown its tranny. I have access (cheap) to a TH700 from a 1990 caprice classic opp 305HO.

What complications do I face in swapping these out?

Converter volages??

any help would be much appreciated.

you'd have to look, but i think the tail housing is differant on the caprice, you'd need provisions for the torque arm. speedo might also be differant.

can I take the tail end off this tranny and replace the tail peice on the caprice tranny??

Yes. You should swap the governor and speedo gears, too.
